About me

Hi! I'm Nina!

I live in the lovely sunny Costa Del Essex with my partner, our four kids and three doggos. I love colour and kitsch and vintage interiors, the work of The Muppets, retro toys, fashion and kitchen discos!

I’ve always been disabled but it wasn’t until I gave birth to a son with the same disability as me that I really started to unpick my years of internalised ableism and started my journey to embracing being disabled. Our disability looked so beautiful on him so surely it could look beautiful on me too.

My journey

It’s been quite the journey since then, I began to talk about disability online, building up a wonderful community of over 100 thousand people and growing. My work focuses on educating nondisabled folk to not feel so awkward around disability and I use the skills learned in my counselling diploma to mentor fellow disabled folks to live their best lives!

Over the last five years, my work has evolved from talking about disability solely on my socials to talking about Disability for companies like Meta, Virgin Media and Rocksteady Games. I’ve partnered with brands like Sky, Next, Keep Britain Tidy and Method to create engaging content for them. I’ve also appeared in the media on BBCs Woman’s Hour, Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch and Podcasts like Sophie Ellis Bexter’s- Spinning Plates.
